Tagaytay City—The stunning backdrop of the SVD Laudato Si' Farm was the setting for a video shoot last September 19, 2023 by Ms. Trishia Doncillo-Lanuzo, Cavite's representative in the prestigious Hiyas ng Pilipinas 2023 pageant. Through the pageant, Ms. Trishia said that she aims to showcase the “historical and natural” beauty of the province.
The Hiyas ng Pilipinas pageant, organized by Hiyas ng Turismo Pilipinas Foundation, Inc., annually celebrates “Filipino beauty, culture, and humanity.” The twenty-two year old Ms. Trishia, former third runner-up in last year’s Binibining General Trias pageant and a standout figure in this year's Hiyas pageant, visited the SVD Farm with her team.
Ms. Trishia’s video shoot covered various locations in Cavite, and in an interview after the shoot, she shared that the SVD Farm left a lasting impression on her. She shared her thoughts on the Farm, saying, "I'm amazed because, aside from its natural resources, we are exposed to agriculture and farming here at the (SVD Farm). As well as the beauty of nature, there are also many sacred spaces here.”
Among the Farm's sacred sites, the Chapel of the Virgin of the Poor held a special significance for Ms. Trishia, which she lauded for its open-air construction and its prayerful ambiance. “Diyo po, parang mababawasan ka talaga ng stress, talagang mare-release mo po kung ano po ang gusto mong sabihin sa Diyos,” she said.
Notably, Ms. Trishia selected the SVD Farm as a pivotal location for her video, emphasizing its role as a symbol of the province’s richness in nature and agriculture.
"Cavite is known for its history, but I wanted to show that it's not just about historical places. It's also rich in agriculture, especially here at the SVD Farm," said Ms. Trishia.

According to Ms. Trishia, her advocacy focuses on moral uprightness and empowering young people to believe in themselves and their values. She stressed the importance of “instilling the right values in the youth” and expressed her desire to inspire and impart wisdom to them. In her message to aspiring beauty queens and young individuals with dreams, Ms. Trishia shared, "Just be yourselves. Believe in yourselves, trust that they can do it. Confidence is a must."
