Tagaytay City—The SVD Laudato Si’ Farm unveiled the Pentecost Village, the newest expansion to the Ecospirituality Center, marking a momentous occasion that radiated both spiritual significance and community generosity.
The Pentecost Village adds the following facilities to the SVD Farm's retreat house—Kubo Kenosis, Kubo Ad Gentes, Kubo Inter Gentes, Kubo Incarnatus, and the Communio Hall.
The blessing of the Pentecost Village was conducted last November 5, 2023.
The blessing of the Pentecost Village was led by Rev. Fr. Samuel "Sam" Naceno-Agcaracar, Executive Director of the SVD Farm, Rector of the SVD-Tagaytay Community, and assisted by Rev. Fr. Ricardo “Jhon” Crisostomo, Jr., SVD, General Manager of the SVD Farm.
The construction of the Pentecost Village, made possible through the support of generous benefactors, began in response to the increasing number of guests visiting the SVD Farm’s Ecospirituality Center and Holy Spirit Hermitage in order to conduct their retreats and recollections.
On behalf of the SVD Farm, Fr. Sam extended his heartfelt gratitude to the benefactors whose contributions made the Pentecost Village a reality. In his message before the blessing, he also emphasized that the day coincides with the birthday of St. Arnold Janssen, SVD, founder of the Society of the Divine Word (Societas Verbi Divini, or SVD).
The inauguration of the Pentecost Village stands as a testament to the growing pilgrimage of individuals seeking solace and spiritual rejuvenation at the Farm's Ecospirituality Center. This expansion showcases a commitment to providing sanctuaries that nurture the soul, reflecting the Farm's unwavering dedication to serving the spiritual needs of its guests.
The event concluded with prayers, blessings, and a communal celebration, signifying the unity and harmony envisioned within the newly blessed Pentecost Village—a haven where spirituality and generosity converge to inspire and uplift all who pass through its doors.
