Tagaytay City—The SVD Laudato Si’ Farm celebrated the Holy Mass last December 8, 2023, 10:00 AM, at the Chapel of the Virgin of the Poor, in honor of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception.
Presided over by Rev. Fr. Samuel “Sam” Naceno-Agcaracar, SVD, Executive Director of the SVD Farm and Rector of the SVD-Tagaytay Community, the Eucharist resonated with the community's deep veneration for the Blessed Mother.

In his homily, Fr. Sam discussed the essence of Mariology, expressed in the four Marian dogmas—divine motherhood, perpetual virginity, immaculate conception, and assumption. These dogmas state Mary's personal relationship with God and her role in human salvation.
Fr. Sam emphasized the pivotal role Mary played as the Mother of Jesus, chosen by God for a divine purpose. Reflecting on Mary's vocation at a tender age and her unwavering commitment, attendees were prompted to ponder their own life's purpose and vocation. He encouraged them to question whether they had discovered their calling in life, akin to Mary's unwavering dedication to God's will.
Two of the most important moments in our lives, said Fr. Sam, are when we were born and when we discover "our purpose in life, our vocation.:
"Have we discovered our vocation? How is my life? Is my life clear, or am I asking God what the purpose of my life is?" said Fr. Sam, inviting attendees to examine the clarity of their life's trajectory and the pursuit of a purposeful existence.
To conclude his homily, Fr. Sam left the attendees with a challenge. "Mary knows her vocation to be the Mother of Jesus. Do we?"

Mary is an esteemed figure in the history and identity of the SVD Farm. In fact, the SVD Farm's place of worship is dedicated to the Blessed Mother as its intercessor. “There is no SVD Laudato Si' Farm without the Chapel of the Virgin of the Poor,” said Fr. Sam.
As such, the celebration of the Immaculate Conception was, for the SVD Farm community, more than a mere gathering; instead, it was an invitation to honor their patroness anew and seek her intercession in their lives.
