Tagaytay City—In order to deepen spirituality during the Lenten season, the SVD Laudato Si’ Farm conducted its Lenten Saturday Recollection Series, featuring prominent priest from the SVD Tagaytay Community as facilitators.
The recollection series, held every Saturday throughout the month of March, brought together participants for talks and Holy Mass sessions aimed at enriching their Lenten journey.
The recollection series commenced on March 2, 2024, with Rev. Fr. Arlo Bernardo Yap, SVD, the SVD Coordinator for Biblical Apostolate, delivering an insightful talk.
Subsequent Saturdays saw revered priests taking the stage, including Rev. Fr. Alan Bondoc, SVD, on March 9, 2024, followed by Rev. Fr. Severo “Jong” Biton, Jr., SVD, Vice Rector of Divine Word Seminary Tagaytay (DWST) and Director of the SVD Postulancy, on March 16, 2024, followed by Rev. Fr. Joseph Anacleto "Titus" Mananzan, SVD, on March 23, 2024.
Each session began at the St. Peter Fishpond and Gazebo, provided participants with spiritual nourishment and guidance for their Lenten observance. After each of the talks, the participants attended the Holy Mass at the Chapel of the Virgin of the Poor, with the priest facilitators continuing their discussion during the homily. This integration of reflection and worship allowed attendees to delve deeper into their Lenten practices and connect with the divine in a meaningful way.

In addition to the Saturday recollections, the SVD Farm also organized prayers of the Way of the Cross at the Garden of Gethsemane every Lenten Friday, at 3:00 PM and 6:30 PM. These stations provided participants with the opportunity to meditate on the journey of Christ towards his crucifixion, further enhancing their Lenten experience.
Through these initiatives, the SVD Farm aimed to become space for meaningful reflection and prayer during the Lenten season.
